Be Safe Feel Safe

Be Safe Feel Safe

For Students

In light of recent events, we would like to remind all students of the importance of crossing the road safely. Minsthorpe Community College is situated on a busy road with the volume of heavy lorries, buses and parents’ cars making it a difficult place to cross at the start & the end of the day. We ask that students focus on crossing safely away from car park exits and junctions and where possible, using the pedestrian crossing. It is important to avoid distractions such as mobile phones and students should not be running across the road without checking that is safe to cross.

For Parents

Please can we ask parents/carers to use the lower car park when dropping off and picking up students? Please do not park on the bus park or on Minsthorpe Lane as this makes it unsafe for students who are crossing the road.

We work hard with students across the curriculum, particularly through assemblies and in L4L lessons, to ensure they are aware of how to keep themselves safe in and out of college. Please can you reinforce the above ‘Be Safe Feel Safe’ message about road safety with your child?

We all have a responsibility to keep each other safe.
