Home Learning is an invaluable opportunity for our students to continue their learning outside the classroom. When students, staff and parents/carers work together the progress students can make is outstanding. When home learning tasks are set and completed in a supportive environment, it becomes a crucial way of raising standards in achievement and encouraging young people to develop positive attitudes to learning.
Throughout the curriculum at Minsthorpe we use a wide range of home learning strategies to help stimulate and engage our students to work independently at home. We want our students to take ownership of their learning, which is key for their success at every level of the educational journey.
In order for the diverse subject matter and varied assessment practice, each curriculum area has its own policy which reflects each subject’s specific requirements.
