What is Minsthorpe Access Point?
It is an area for all students from Year 7 to Post 16 students to use within College. Minsthorpe Access Point (MAP) is located in Carnegie near the KS4 dining area. The offices are open to students every Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 3.00pm, term time only.
MAP offers information, support, guidance, care and advice in a range of issues that can affect students’ lives. These issues range from career advice to personal guidance.
MAP is a place where a lot of internal work takes place with our Careers Advisor/Lead (Tim Dowey). He will be happy to set up an appointment after school if parents wish to attend. Also based in the office is our Transition & Aspiration Raising Coordinator (Claire Jubb) and the MAP Co-ordinator/Administrative Officer (Ruth Simmons). In addition to this, MAP works with a number of external agencies that work with the College, to support our students.
Minsthorpe Access Point’s confidentiality statement:
- HERE TO LISTEN – HERE TO HELP

- We will let you know who we need to tell, and we will continue to support you
