What is Minsthorpe Access Point?
It is an area for all students from Year 7 to Post 16 students to use within College. Minsthorpe Access Point (MAP) is located in Carnegie near the KS4 dining area. The offices are open to students every Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 3.00pm, term time only.
MAP offers information, support, guidance, care and advice in a range of issues that can affect students’ lives. These issues range from career advice to personal advice.
MAP is a place where a lot of internal work takes place with our Guidance Advisor, Transition & Aspiration Raising Coordinator and Support For Achievement Mentors. In addition to this, MAP works with a number of external agencies that work with the College, to help support our students. One of these agencies is Prospects who work with targeted students to offer Careers advice.
