Post 16 Young Enterprisers Organise Charity Book Drop

Young Enterprisers deliver books to Pontefract Hospital

We are a part of Young Enterprise; the group consists of 3 members who are a part of Post 16, Jessica Harnell, Ebony Massey, and Chloe Bradshaw. Our purpose is to create and run events for a charity and work closely with the Leadership Team.

On Tuesday 19th April we delivered a collection of books to Pontefract Children’s Outpatients ward, in the celebration of World Book Day, when we held a book drop in school library on the 3rd March. The initial idea was to bring a selection of students from each year group to deliver and read with the patients in Pinderfields hospital, unfortunately this did not go ahead however we managed to develop our event and still continue with the book drop.

As a group we would like to give a huge thank you to Mrs. Adams and Mr. Jewitt for accompanying us on the delivery and to all staff and students who donated their unwanted children’s books. We also hope that Pontefract Children’s Outpatients ward enjoy our contribution. As Young Enterprisers we believe that something magical could happen when you read a good book!
