Summer Activities For Students

The summer holidays are now only a couple of days away and there have been a number of activities announced to keep students active and entertained throughout the break.

Doorstep Activity Camps

Wakefield Council (in partnership with Ossett Academy, Standbridge Lane Community Centre and Wakefield City Academy) has organised a number of multi-sports camps where 8-14 year olds can have a go at sports such as cricket, dodgeball, football, rounders, tag rugby, kangaroo boots and more for only £1.00 a session.

The camps take place weekly during the end of July and the whole of August from 1pm to 3pm. Wakefield City Academy will be hosting the camps on Wednesdays, Ossett Academy on Thursdays and the Friday camps will be taking place at Standbridge Lane Community Centre. Further details are available by viewing the Doorstep Activity Camps flyer.
