This post is 35 hours per week, term-time + 5 days.
Grade 6, Scale Point 22-25 (Actual Salary – £16,328-£17,907)
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Pastoral Support Manager to complement the professional work of teachers and other associate staff at the College. The successful candidate will ensure that the behaviour & pastoral related policies of the college are carried out, and provision for students with behaviour/pastoral needs, particularly those who are disadvantaged, is of a good quality. You will establish and maintain productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor.
Experience of working with children and young people is essential, with an understanding of the factors affecting the behaviour and attitudes of children and young people. The post will require good communication skills, an awareness of educational requirements and good interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must understand the developmental needs of children and the importance of de-escalation and distraction strategies to reduce the risk of poor behaviour.
The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of our Job Specification and be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
