Year 9 is the first year of your son/daughter’s GCSE Course. It is vital at this stage that progress is monitored and parents informed of any successes or concerns.
Links between home and College as part of the campaign for success are essential. I am keen to see all the parents of our Year 9 students as I know you will want to play a key role in the future of your child to help them gain the highest possible levels of attainment. I therefore would like to invite you to:
Year 9 Parents’ Evening – Thursday 27th April 2017 – 3.30pm – 7.00pm
You can meet with the subject teachers to share and discuss success, worries or concerns.
Mr Gervis and I will also be available during the Parents’ Evening to discuss progress, listen to comments and continue the partnership between home and College.
The indicators of attainment, achievement, attendance, rewards and commendation for the current Year 9 cohort are excellent and they are sustaining a healthy attitude to learning.
Your child has an appointment sheet for the evening in their planners so that they can make appointments at a time which is convenient to you. Please advise your child as to the times which would be most suitable to for you to attend. Please would you complete the slip on the letter below and return it to College as soon as possible.
I hope you will make every effort to attend with your son/daughter.
When you arrive at the Science and Design Technology block please sign in, you will be issued with a plan of where to locate teaching staff.
We very much look forward to seeing you on Thursday 27th April 2017.
Mrs Rachel Paul
