Go Higher West Yorkshire (formerly HEART), a consortium of 12 Higher Education Providers in West Yorkshire, is looking to appoint a Higher Education Progression Officer to support the delivery of our HEFCE funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP).

NCOP seeks to identify and address issues around progression to higher education for young people living in areas where progression is low overall, and particularly low when GCSE attainment is taken into account. Working with a selected cohort of KS4 and KS5 students from across the college, you will support their applications and transition into higher education, ensuring that all who have the potential to succeed have the opportunity to do so. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of individualised Learning Agreements for your target group, ensuring the effective involvement of parents/carers, staff and other key stakeholders in the project, and arranging events and activities. You will work within the management team and be responsible for the day to day operation of the programme.

The post will be based at Minsthorpe Community College, but will require the holder to work on a flexible basis, which will include some evening, weekend and school holiday work.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of our Personnel Recruitment specification and be subject to an enhanced DBS check. A prohibition from teaching check will also be completed for all applicants.
