Students at Minsthorpe Community College were celebrating a set of GCSE results this year which saw A*-C outcomes across all GCSE subjects reach 70.4%, comparing favourably to national figures of 68.8%. Further academic success was demonstrated with 25% of students gaining the English Baccalaureate which again is a strong outcome compared to the proportion achieving this measure nationally.
These GCSE results, following on from the excellent A Level results last week, are evidence that the College has a significant impact on student achievement over both five and seven years of education at Minsthorpe. This is evidenced by the number of students making strong progress over this time in a wide range of subjects.
There were many individual student successes, but in particular special mention goes to Eleanor Field who achieved six A* grades and four A grades. In addition, Mason Hall, Jayde Healey, Kavan Price and Rosie Sullivan all gained fantastic results by achieving 8 or more A* or A grades.
We are delighted in congratulating all of our students and staff for their hard work in achieving such an excellent set of results!
