Dear Parents/Carers
The Summer Term’s Non-Uniform Day will be Friday 24th June 2016.
The Student Council and members of the College Action Teams have decided that this will be in aid of the Prince of Wales Hospice, Pontefract and the charity ‘Just Like Us’. Further details of the work undertaken by both of these charities can be found below. Year 10 are continuing to raise funds for their ‘It’s a Knock Out’ event in July. Students can also pledge their support to the additional charities listed on the Vivos website.
The charge for all students attending College in non-uniform is £1.00.
Students wishing to express their support of the charity ‘Just Like Us’ are encouraged to wear items of brightly coloured clothing, including Post 16 students.
However we must stress the following:
- No fancy dress
- No hats for students in Key Stage 3 and 4
- No extremes of fashion including clothing which has slogans/offensive writing or innuendo
- No excessively high heels
- No jewellery
Thank you once again for assisting your child and the College in supporting such worthy causes.
Mrs S Adams
(Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching)On behalf of the Student Council
