Map Out Your Future

On November the 16th there will be a Careers Fair for all Year 10 and 11 students to attend.

The event aims to offer our Year 10, 11 and Post 16 students the opportunity to meet with representatives from various occupational areas to gain an insight into the world of work. It is designed as a taster session, so that students can visit stalls to gain as much information as possible to support them with their future career choices.

Data Manager

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Data Manager to work alongside our Senior Data Manager and Data & Performance Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role in the college’s journey to outstanding by providing high quality student performance data for senior leaders and classroom teachers in addition to maintaining the college’s SIMS systems.

You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the college’s use of strategic and operational data, producing clear, concise, accurate information to support Senior Leaders in raising standards of performance in college. Excellent technical and organisational skills, with good attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to interrogate, analyse and present complex data.

Design Technology Technician

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic technician to provide support to teaching staff within the Design Technology Department. This role involves assisting all areas of Design Technology including Food, Textiles, and Product Design with preparation of resources and equipment, assisting in the classroom during lessons, health and safety and maintenance of equipment.

The successful candidate should be able to work independently, as part of a team, show initiative and enthusiasm and most importantly must enjoy working with students. Experience in a manufacturing background, especially woodwork, would be a distinct advantage, but the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Alternative Provision)

Scale G7, Point 26-29 (£23,398 – £25,951 pro-rota), 35 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 Days

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support the learning and teaching of our students. Working alongside the English and Maths teams you will be confident, enthusiastic and able to demonstrate your ability to plan and deliver high impact intervention lessons.

The successful candidate would be working with students who follow an alternative provision pathway off the college site but return to Minsthorpe Community College for English, Maths, and Personal, Social and Development Skills. You would be working alongside a team of professionals who support these students.

Learning Mentor (Temporary)

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor to offer a complimentary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in the college. This role is funded by ‘Go Higher West Yorkshire’ to address the needs of children who require help to overcome barriers to learning, particularly those who are disadvantaged. The successful candidate will support and motivate students to achieve their full potential and increase their awareness and opportunities to experience the advantages of progressing into Higher Education. Alongside this it will further enable the college to raise standards of attainment and maintain successful progression figures.
